Joanna Gibbs
After Graduating from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy, Joanna continued her education at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. She completed the internal medicine residency program in 2001 at The University of Tennessee College of Medicine – Chattanooga and Tennessee became her home. Dr. Gibbs has practiced internal medicine in Crossville, Tennessee for the past 23 years. The proud mother of two wonderful boys, Joanna strives for excellence in her practice.

Renee’ Boston
As a Cumberland County native, Renee’ had the opportunity to grow up and now raise her family in this wonderful community. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Tennessee – Chattanooga in 1999. She worked as a physical therapist for 15 years in the Upper Cumberland region. In 2016, she graduated from South College with a Masters of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies. When not at work, you can find she and her husband Brooks on a soccer field watching their two favorite players, Stone and Lilly.

Angie Houston
Angie obtained her associates in nursing from Roane State Community College in 2003. She then went on to obtain her Bachelor Degree in Nursing from Tennessee Tech University in 2013. Angie worked as a registered nurse in women’s health at the local hospital before switching to a primary care setting. She has been with Synergy Medical for 4 years. Angie has been married to her husband of 26 years and has 3 children. Angie is hardworking and brings multiple skills to the clinic. She works in both the medical side and the aesthetic side of the clinic. “I enjoy utilizing my skills in women’s health and broadening my horizons in aesthetics. I love customizing skincare routines based on the individuals needs”.
Medical Assistant
Shona Boston
Shona Boston received her MA license 22 years ago. She has been married for over 27
years with 2 kids. Shona has been a part of Synergy Medical since 2019. She is devoted to
serving our patients and works very hard to keep everything on the medical side running
smoothly. “I love my job and especially assisting Dr. Gibbs in caring for her patients”.

Cassianna Moody
Cassianna, a native of Crossville, TN, graduated from Tennessee College of Applied Technology with her Practical Nursing License in 2024. She is extremely passionate about helping others and began her career at Synergy Medical Associates in February of 2025, to do just that. Outside of work, Cassi enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family.
Secretary/ Administrative Assistant
Tammy Daugherty
Tammy is Synergy’s secretary who also serves as an administrative assistant. She
started working at Synergy Medical in 2018. Tammy has three grandchildren and enjoys
spending time with them and traveling with her family. She is the first face people see when they
walk through the door and she enjoys making people feel welcomed and loved. “It is an honor to
help and greet our patients and hopefully take away any nerves they have before seeing the
providers.”

Betsy Navarro
Betsy Navarro received her MA license and started working at Synergy Medical in 2017. When Besty isn’t at work you can find her watching one of her boys at the soccer field. Betsy is known at our office for contributing positivity and encouragement to our staff and patients. “I love what I do, taking care of our patients makes me happy”.
Business Manager
Christy Dolinich
Christy joined the Synergy team in August of 2024 as the Business Manager. She has over 25 years of experience in business and financial management with an emphasis on human resource management. She has been married to her high school sweetheart for 34 years and has two beautiful granddaughters. Christy has a heart for community and serves on the Board of Directors for several local non-profit organizations.
Part Time Aesthetician
Karen Perez
Karen is a proud native of Crossville, TN, and a graduate of Stone Memorial High School. After completing high school, she pursued her passion for aesthetics in Knoxville and graduated from the Tennessee School of Beauty in February of 2024. Her journey into skincare began with her own experiences, and she understands the challenges of acne. Her goals to help others feel confident and beautiful in their own skin. While also taking great pleasure in making others feel relaxed while treating their skin. Outside of work, Karen enjoys spending quality time with family and friends.
Administrative Assistant / CNA
Brianna Ward
Brianna is a senior at Stone Memorial High School, where she earned her Nursing Assistant Certificate this year. She plans to pursue further education in healthcare at East Tennessee State University this fall. Outside of her academic and career goals, Brianna enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She shares, “I have a passion for helping others, and I’m excited to make a difference every day.”
